Hope everyone is well out there. Our cd release party was a complete success. Our album is now in the hands of the masses. We thank all of you for your support. Double Door enjoyed our show so much that they asked us back for a last minute show this Wednesday. We start at 9pm. Its going to be a Hump Day Jam.
The official CD RELEASE PARTY for the new album "See The Shadow" will be March 7th at Double Door in Chicago. We will have plenty of copies available at the show that night along with any other merch we can fit in the truck. Show starts at 9pm so get there early. We are second in the lineup.
This is the show not to miss. We will share the stage with guest musicians for an amazing performance of songs from the new album along with brand NEW songs. If anyone can help The Employees with posters, promotion, etc., please email us here or at our myspace page and you will be greatly rewarded... some free stuff along with free admission to the Double Door performance.
The Employees are proud to report that the new album "See the Shadow" is now available. We will have copies for sale at shows now or some copies here. The band has been working on new songs and new shows. Our next show will be Feb. 1st at The House in Dekalb. The Employees will be sharing the stage with singer/songwriter Jerry Joseph, some great talent. Show starts at 8pm and will be all ages. Check the "shows" page for more info. The shirt supply is running real low so if you have been putting off buying one, you better get to a show and grab one. There are going to be some new shirt designs released within the month. We are currently in the studio with one day left of mixing the new album. We got a great engineer, Davey Rieley, who has had a hand in recording and now mixing. The album sounds really good so far and we are all really excited to release this thing. Its going to be a great stocking stuffer.
We got some shows coming up to in December. Get out and see some new songs we are working on. We are also working on booking the cd release show.
It's getting down to the release of our new album. You should see it sometime end of Nov with a cd release show sometime early December. We have been updating our myspace page and added 2 NEW SONGS. Both are songs recorded live at The House show on 10/05/07. We just had a radio interview with 89.1 FM WONC. We were there to promote our new album and a live show we had that night in town. Our next show will be in Chicago at Goose Island Brew Pub (Wrigleyville). Oct. 19th Friday, music starts at 9pm. As always, thanks for coming to the shows.
The Employees are busy finishing up there new album which is slated for release November 2007. Progress is great and it will be a great piece of work. We will still have some live shows but not as many coming up due to finishing up the record. We did just get booked at Otto's again on the 22nd.
Also The Employees will be on the radio waves once again. Naperville's North Central College has invited The Employees for their Thursday night concert series. The band will be playing on campus at the Boilerhouse on Thursday October 11th at 8pm. To help promote the show, there will be a band interview session on the campus radio station, WONC 89.1 FM around 6pm that evening. Make sure to tune in!
Thanks for those that were at the Wise Fools Pub show in Chicago last night. We had a really good sound in there. The show was great! Tomorrow we headline Otto's in Dekalb. Doors open at 8pm and Hairyspaceman takes the stage first. We'll see ya out there.
Howdy folks! The Employees are busy these days- album recording, booking shows, writing new songs... building the empire. We have a few shows on the board so make sure to write them down on the calender. This weekend we are at our special bar in the city, Lilly's. Its retro-shirt night so wear that crazy polyester to show your Employee support. Next weekend we headline Otto's in Dekalb. Its going to be a special show for us, its Chris' birthday show! Come out to see The Employees this Thursday at the House Cafe in Dekalb. We will be playing the show with Keslinger for their cd release party. It's going to be a great show. We are going to try some new things so check us out. We are still recording for our full length album. The process is a long one but all the Employees are having a great time doing it. Thanks for staying employed with The Employees! We have had quite a few shows lately and the support has been incredible. We have been recording some of our latest shows and copies are available. Just send us an email or myspace message and we can go from there. Our next show will be a big one. We will be sharing the stage with The Unit Theory and Family Groove Company May 10th at The House in Dekalb, IL. NEW SHIRTS!! Our skillful artist Moses has done it again. We got a brand new design for shirts currently available at shows only. Printing on front and back, these are in very small numbers and will only be around for a short time. Full Album- The Employees have booked studio time at Rax Trax in Chicago for their first full album. We will start the recording process next week and will continue to record throughout the rest of May. The projected cd release date will be June 2007. We are currently looking at venues for our cd release party. If anyone has any suggestions or thoughts on where they would like to see us, let us know. We will see you at the House!
The Employees are gearing up for their upcoming International Pop Overthrow Festival in Chicago on April 22nd- Sunday, 3:15pm, Elbo Room. We have 30 minutes to showcase our best songs so come out and support us! We just finished our radio spot on WLUW FM 88.7 to promote the IPO Fest show. The Employees were on the Razor and Di show where we were interviewed and played three songs live in studio. Our next show is at the House in Dekalb this Saturday so make sure to clear the calender and come out. On the merchandise stuff: we just got some new shirts in for all the ladies- new girl Baby T's in pink and blue. Email us or get one at our next show. The Employees have been booking more shows for March and April. We will be playing Otto's at the end of March which will be a great time. We are currently recording our full length album and we will keep you posted on that. The House show out in Dekalb was a great time. Thanks to all our fans that night for supporting us. We were asked back for a few headlining shows that we are currently working on. We are ordering more shirts and will have some NEW girl baby T's available. The Employees are currently in the studio recording their full length album. It should be released late Spring. The Employees were also invited for a recording session at Columbia College in Chicago for a collaboration project. What will come from this? Some rare Employee tracks that may be released as an e.p. in the future. We will keep you updated with that as well.
The Employees have solidified a slot at the International Pop Overthrow Festival in Chicago this year. The show will be Sunday April 22nd at The Elbo Room at 3:00pm. We will be showcased along with a bunch of other great bands. If you can only make one performance in the future, this will be the one to see.
